    S60 D5 SE or S40 T5 SE??

This isn't a "which one should I buy" thread - My wife in her wisdom has decided to buy a Porsche Boxster - so one of our Volvos has to go.

The S60 is a 53 plate, 20k miles, GT - bought it 12 months ago

The S40 is a 54 plate, 3k miles, GT - bought it 3 months ago

    Which one do I keep?

I do 20k miles per annum and have a bike for my "weekend fun"

If the S40 had the S60 seats, hifi and midrange it would be an easy decision.

    Anyone had their S40 T5 Rica'd??

    Help!

Shift the S40 ASAP, the depreciation on them is ridiculous especially the T5's, if you bought it new sell it privately as would say you will get about 12-13k on trade in for it, plus what ever the dealer offers so if your trading it in against a Porsche you will get about 13k as they wont give you any discount.

The S60 will be the worth more and is more desireable so deffo keep that one.

If it was me, I would keep the D5 and sell the S40. The Boxter is going to be the "fun" car, so rather than trying to get the S40 to compete with it, you'll be better off sticking with the D5 for the obvious merits of fuel economy.

Shift the S40 T5. If you've got a bike and a Porsche, you dont need the T5 for fun, and if you do 20k miles per year, might as well have the D5's economy!

That and the S60 is nicer than the S40 anyway!

Sod that. Sell both the S40 and S60, buy a Mk3 Fiesta, give half to charity and half to my PayPal account. You can be sure I'll spend it wisely on Volvo related items.

I think you should give me some money as well - LOL

S60 D5 though is the one to keep - particularly if you RICA it - it will be almost as fast as the boxster.
