Question If it don't rub it ain't low enough.

I'm planning on doing a deal on some wheels. They are fitted with 225/45/17 tyres.
I know my car is low so can I expect some rubbing? I had 215's on the bullion & had no issues with those.

My S70 T5 rubbed the arch liners on 225 wheels, only on full lock though. That was standard suspension/ride height

My C70 is very low, and has 235/35/18s, but doesn't rub since I fitted 15mm spacers.

What size are you currently running?

Those tyres are quite large and running low you may have issues with the arches.

When I was running that tyre on 7.5Jwheels, et43 there was a bit of rubbing on the inner edge but was doing no harm, just cleaning the arch liners if anything

Put all your measurements through here...

Were the spacers dear Steve? I've seen some 16mm hubicentric for £50 a pair but I know I'd want 20mm on the rears then. Lol
I can cope with a bit of rubbing until I can afford the spacers.
Just fed up of the comets as its my second v70 on them. Want to make it look mine now.

I'm running 205's on what I think are 7j's but could be 7.5's.
The new wheels are 7.5j & are volvo offset but unsure of exact.

If your new wheels are P2 then probably 49et.

You'll be alright I reckon for rubbing, just don't use full lock lol

Just maybe the bigger profile tyres will be less visually appealing perhaps.

I know on the 850s 215s can rub.

I had 225/40/18s on my laser no rubbing and that was lowered

I paid £38.75 for a pair on ebay, but they don't seem to be available any more.

The rear rubs, but bizarrely only on the right hand side when giving it the beans or pulling into my drive!

    Really confusing me.

Thors BTW, standard ride height for those of you that aren't Jamesy!

My old T5r was running genuine 18" pegs, Eibach springs and 225/40/18" tyres with no rubbing at all.

The wheels are off a p1 platform car so should be the correct offset. They are the same wheels as you took off yours before you fitted the twists Dave.
I can live with a bit of rubbing but eventually I would put spacers on it anyway. The look of the tyre won't bother me, if anything it will make it more comfy which will be a plus in my book...

    Ah, Propus, good choice

Yeah they'll be fine with +43offset, just a small amount of rubbing on full lock but nothing that will be harmful.
Fitting some spacers on the front will give you more steering lock too potentially.
