My T4 not good enough then Martin? :O
That's me back from the Southern softies meet and I have to say what a nice bunch of people you all are.
It was 147 miles each way for me and the traffic was horrendous on the way down, set off at 10:00 and arrived at 13:40, luckily the run back went a lot quicker and having left at 16:40 was home by 19:20, plenty of time to settle before Top Gear
When I arrived I wasn't sure where everyone was but I was quickly met by Ettienne who's car I'd parked next to, who was in the pub but came out to meet my brother his better half and I. After a quick chat he took me for a spin round the block in his V70R and then shortly after this others started to arrive and time was passing quickly. S70T5Chris also offered me a spin in his but I declined in favour of a passenger lap which was a nice insight into what can be achieved with a few mods.
Having stood out for a short while admiring the cars in the cold we retired into the pub for something to eat and then it was time to shoot.
I did manage to get a few shots of the cars that were present, see below, when I was leaving but none from arrival so sorry to those who's I missed out.
Just want to say thanks for the warm welcome, always nice when you've traveled the distance and made the effort and thanks for the passenger laps.
Both equally nice cars in their own rights. I like the traction and the comfort even in advanced mode there's still a good level of comfort, the noise level inside the car is also nice and they both seemed to go well for their respective specs. That said the raw feeling of the 850 is one of the things I currently enjoy and also the pace of it as a result of all the tweaks it had received. That said I'm still confident at some point that I'll have one, just not quite yet think I need to enjoy the 850 a little more the having done nearly 300 miles today it's been very enjoyable despite the horrendous traffic on the way over in the morning.

Looked like another good meet.. I had to endure 30mph on the M6 back to Guildford. Took me nearly 7hours with all the stops to water people and dogs in stages...

Nice to see everyone out in their cars and a good number too especially for this time of year. Sorry I didn't come and say hi to many of you but I was trying to keep the other half happy at the same time....
Roll on more meets next year!!

I / we had a passenger ride in chris's s60, very nice car and quick too boot.
One thing I did notice is the rate at which he went up the gears on boost, almost like it's too shortly geared now for the power it has now.
Looking forward to see how it performs on the Dyno.
