    Aaaaaaaand. fail

So. my T5R failed its MOT. failed for De-cat pipe. BOTH licence plates are illegal. and emisions are way to high Co 0.492% n allowed like 0.100%. so i need a cat converter. 2 new plates and all with ££££ all money left over cause the money i spent servicing it and trying to fix the misfire DIDNT WORK! she still coughs on idle and on occasional pulls will just completely cut out. im seriously confused n need some help if anyone has any ideas?

If you put your car in for a MOT with no CAT no wonder it failed.

As the car was manufactured with a CAT it sholud have a CAT for it`s MOT.

You will find your emisions would be alot lower with a CAT, you find it sort out your running problem.

    As for the number plates

    New or recent coil/spark plugs/leads/dizzy cap/rotor arm?

yeah the decat pipe is a bolted one. but i cant find another bolt style cat. unless anybody knows one before i buy this one with a entire downpipe?. and new plugs leads dizzy cap rotor arm but no coil as i ran outta money. i got a used one comming in the post from a buddy. it was working when removed from his car + the king lead. a few have sudgested the maf but im getting no codes for it comming up on my obd1 nor the o2 sensor as i thought it could be either of them. and i know it didnt have much hope with a decat. but it was worth a try. he did test it n said if it passed or was close enough we could make it work. but C0 for mine was 5 times above what your allowed. still the cough persists but it wont do it on pulls. general driving or if i just keep it slightly above idle with my foot

Sounds like yours is a custom job like I made.
Symptoms were like that when my maf & idle control were goosed.
