    yet another one

seems to be alot of 940's popping up lately but anyways just putting my build up even though its the same old.

my 940 as i bought it about a year and a half ago, standard, pretty clean, fsh, everything works, well looked after etc. had it a month or two, before i serviced it and did the usual mbc, chopped the boxes out the exhaust to make it straight threw, ebay air filter, and lowered it abit. ther car has done almost 170k now and is still in pretty good condition, even though it still runs sweet i am swapping the engine for another b23fk that i have from another project, this engine i know is good, runs sweet, has only done almost 90k, i know this as i removed it from a 940 a few years ago and put it in a 360.
Been happy with it for a while but it was always the plan to get abit more power out of it...

plan is, strip the engine down and do all the gaskets, timing belt kit, oil/water pump, oil seals, head skimmed etc, and clutch but im still unsure exactly what clutch kit i want/need,
then fit my 16/19t, white injectors and fpr (at 4bar), 3" maf, 3" exhaust, tloa chips, might have missed something

    will update soon

    cheers

That looks a hell of a lot like my old 940.
    Don't think it is though.

Pretty rare colour that, on a 940 anyway. Coral red if memory serves.
I called mine The Pink Peril!

Looks like a good project, wilo have to keep my eye on this one

cant belive how long i havent touched the 940 for now, its just been sat in the unit since Christmas due to a mix of being away and being busy but i got bach on it 3 days ago, got the engine fully rebuilt now nd almost ready to go back in, just need to find a clutch and get the new turbo balanced, really annoyed with myself for not taking many pictures of the engine being rebuilt just wanted to get it done now tbh, will get a update up and some pictures up as soon as i get down to the garage

back again lol. sadly not long after i got back on with the 940 i lost my unit and only had a few days notice to moved out in a rust and alot of stuff whent missing in the move but ive started back on it again today, now working on the road and drive way out side my house witch isnt ideal but gotta crack on, engine is pretty much ready to go in now apart from the timing gear, but not putting that on till the day the engine goes in, the 16/19t turbo is balanced and built up, im just on with painting some bits today then i can put the turbo and oil/water pipes on, will sort some pics out later, hopefully engine will be going in early next week if the weather clears up

    cheers

keep forgetting to update this thread so here's a half arsed attempt

on the roof of the car here is a small pile of the bits fitted to the car/engine, including new rings, bearings, seals/gaskets etc etc etc, also on the stool you will see the head after it was skimmed and rebuilt with new seats, valve stem oil seals etc

the head being starting to be stripped

the block after a quick clean before it was stripped down, cleaned more, rebuilt and a lick of paint etc

new rear crank oil seal being fitted

fronts of the chassis legs were stariong to look abit tired so they was shot blasted, etch primed and painted

will get some more up to date pics soon, sorry about the lack of detail
