Fitted these little beauties today
Poly engine and gearbox mounts from classic swede in the harder red poly. Well the engine is solid and I can now feel the engine running
Discovered the speedo doesn`t work so it`s one step forward and two steps back,
I`ve got a signal coming from the speed sender but no speedo. Not sure if it`s a wiring problem or a speedo fault I`ll do some checking tomorrow.

Did some more testing on the speedo and it`s f***ed, I`ve got a AC voltage that starts at 1v and climbs as the speed increases,
Tried a early speedo and that worked but at idle it recorded 40 mph so it`s a little bit out,
So I got bored and fitted these
The car started and ran ok with the ME7 blues,

I'm sure you'll come up with a good solution for the speedo, does that need to be operational for the forthcoming MOT?
PS - Not sure if you've had chance for progress on the M4.4 bin file mod for A/C operation, but drop me a PM when you know more.
I`ve got another speedo coming which will be with me by the weekend,
Also the fuel line should turn up by the weekend if it all falls into place the 240 will be MOT`d by the brooklands meet.
Sorted the insurance out tonight £240 full comp with a maxium of 3K miles and it will be insured from midnight tonight

That's not too bad at all for insurance given the engine swap.

Had a look over oblarks 240 now it's up and running, very cool listening to the recirc chirp, it seems almost alien in a car "D I frost drives"
Haven't seen Rob on here lately, anyone know if the 240 now has an MOT etc?
I spoke with him on Sunday and he said that it failed on a brake line bulge and he will be fixing this week hopefully.

Excellent - Sounds like it's pretty close to being on the road.
I thought I'd do a quick update on this project.
Well the 240 is ripping up the tarmac with the boost set to 10 psi, then it developed a misfire so I've brought some oem leads which should fitted for the weekend. Once the misfire is sorted I'll fit my rebuilt 19T then later the big brake conversion.
Took the 240 to the Bearmore classic car show last weekend.

Must be so tempting to find a little hidden corner to that green field and just RWD steer the 240 around a little, great news it's up and running and looking forward to the updates

Did that one fit through the letterbox Rob?
I'm assuming the engine swapped 240 is well before OBDII and that must be something you can solder a chip into rather than just upgrade the software?
