Do V70 seats fit in an 850?

    Hello again all,

My 96' 850 T5 GLT has slightly shabby cream leather heated front seats and I was thinking about hunting out a pair of replacements, obviously given the age of the car it's tough to find front seats in top condition.

My question is therefore this; do V70 seats fit into an 850 without any modification? I seem to be able to find multiple sets of V70 cream leather front seats for very cheap money and this could be a nice tidy up to create a mint 850.

If anyone has some cream leather (preferably heated) front seats in top condition let me know by PM - Thanks!

Physically, they'll fit, I "think" the wiring is the same too but not 100% on that one.

I'm talking P1 V70 seats tho, the newer stuff would be a right bugger to get to work in an 850.

Thanks M-R-P, I'm assuming by 'they fit' that dimensions, runners and bolt locations etc are all the same?

well. issue number 1 was swapping over all my seatbelt points and such as the V70R ones were shot (so unless yours are paggered. its not a huge issue) and then the rear seats on mine just did not want to let go of their mountings. unless i was doing something wrong they would not slide out at all so. forget how i got them out now in the slightly angry tug of war with them

The rear seats are easy enough to get out when you have done them a few times first off remove the long clips what you need is two flat screwdrivers one to push the tab in at the bottom and the other to pull of once the tabs are out hold the seat as a angle and pull it toward your self and then lift upwards they are tight when never been removed before but take your time and they will come out

Be easier to get a full set and that way there'll be no issues with the pattern not matching. If you can find electric seats that would be a nice touch, there easy to wire up, fitted some to my t5 last weekend so happy to run through it if you get stuck.

I am also now looking at C70 seats as many of these seem to be breaking on Ebay!

Can anyone confirm whether a Phase 1 C70 seats (1999) will go straight into an 850?

The fronts should fit but you'll have the handle to tilt them forward due them being for a 2 door, I expect the rears will fit into a saloon. Why did you have problems judge, it's 5 bolts and even retro fitting the wiring for the electrics is straight forward. I know as I've done it myself.
