    My 855 TDI

Just wanted to let you know about my stop gap 234,000 mile 855 TDI bought to allow me to carry out some work on my 855R.

I chanced my arm after 4 months ownership and put it in for MOT!!!!

To get it through I replaced the rear brake shoes and pads, front control arm, number plate and bulb. £100 of parts has now kept this car on the road for another 12 months.

    These cars are truly awesome.

I will now be selling my 855R to make way for my 2015 le mans charity run car!!! Details to follow.

Yeh the TDi's are very underrated. No advisories on mine and 180k on the clock. I can't fault it mechanically in the slightest apart from some electrics needing attention. I pxed my 850r for it, although I miss the power of the R to be honest the TDI is a better car and far easier to live with. I was planning on selling it to get funds for another T5, but it's just too sensible to sell.

    pictures of which one? LOL
I am part of a 23 strong group who are heading to le mans next year taking 5 old xj40 jags all painted up in 88 winning colours. We get to carry out a load of silly stuff on MAD FRIDAY. The plan is that we are collecting money for St Johns school in Bedfordshire where my mates autistic son attends. There is little government money so require donations to keep every thing up to date. Plan is to raise money and gain local sponsorship. We will sell all 5 cars when we return and donate this money also.

I know what you mean Stephen,

This was purely a stop gap car but has been so good pootling to work and back that it makes sense to keep it. I wil be running a Jaguar xj40 as a second car until june next year so My R has to go to make space. Not an easy decision but I cant keep everything.
