    RICA remapped ECU'S Manual/Auto differences???

    Hay peeps

RICA remapped ECU'S from either a Manual or Auto gearbox car, does the main ECU that has been remapped control the gearbox? or could u have a ECU that has been remapped from a manual car and use it in an Automatic vehical???

    Any help appreciated!!!

And what about RPM's I think that, AUTO Rpm's falls down slower, is it true?
When you give 3k rpm its goes much faster with manual ECU?
May be i have another isseu, my RPM's is too slow going down, when i change gear the tahometer is still in the same place when i push clutch and when i put next gear its like stroke a little bit. I dont like it.. Do you know what it is??

Could be the idle control valve, maybe give it a clean and see if it improves?

Auto Ecu's are no good for a manual, they don't control the boost as well and boost spike. If you want my opinion get the right one for the car, it will drive better.

I think Gav (Merc) would disagree with you.

I think gav ran an mbc though. I had his old ecu in my car few weeks ago and that's what I base my opinion on.

Apart from the hardware between Auto (more components) and Manual ECU, the software is written differently too.
The manual SW has a part in it that holds the revs slightly during gear change
As for boost spikes, it depends on the TCV map setting. Some tuners pull down the boost/timing at higher RPM/Load to avoid spikes while some tuners don't.
If you use the standard SW, no such thing happens
