    M58L ratios

Firstly, apologies to anyone who was going to bid on the M58L and bevel box that was on eBay - twas me that nabbed it I've bought it as a contingency plan just in case the autobox or bevel in the BoneWagon fails.

The manual box has a 4.0 ratio according to the label (see below). I believe that is compatible with my rear diff but just wanted to check with peeps on here - I know a few of you have done this conversion successfully.

    Thanks!

EDIT - NB I'm aware I'll need a different rear gearbox mounting bracket, and that the AWD auto driveshafts can be retained, but if you know of any gotchas I'd appreciate them

I'm watching this very closely, as you and I are moving in very much the same direction on V70R autoboxes, my phase3 5 speed auto, is being removed to make way for a six speed M66 AWD, I've not looked into the rear gearbox bracket yet, I was leaving that till I had it all out on the subframe and then work around what fits / what can be modified to suit.
