Thumbs up ME7 Remaps and VPCUK member offers

    Hi guys,

I can now offer 10% off for VPCUK members on any of my stage 1 or 2 maps and also my datalogging software base pack. Checkout www.ecm-tech.co.uk for more info or feel free to post or PM here.

Contact me for a discount code, all I ask is a 20 post minimum for members.

Maps can be flashed with a DiCE and W7/W8 laptop or the ECU can be posted to me and returned. There is no extra cost for either service. Custom work and flashing can also be carried out by Shemtek in Nottingham

Keep an eye on the website as there is some very cool stuff coming once I have a chance to sort and post it all!

    Examples of what's available:

    • Knocklight - MIL will flash depending on ignition retard amount - say over 5 degrees.
    • Lean burn - Allows you to run leaner than stoich at cruise for catless cars and a decent MPG improvement.
    • 5 Bar modification (stage 4) - Allow ME7 to read up-to 5 bar of boost (stock 2.5 bar). (Currently MY2005 R's and T5 only) This is a world first in 2005 Volvo.
    • RS4 MAF sensor mapping and adapters for the S60R (adapter in development).
    • Map switching - (use pedals to switch between different boost and timing maps).
    • True R map switching via chassis buttons. (new timing maps attached to Advanced)
    • 100% Transmission torque limiter removal on all Volvo ME7 ECU's
    • Anti-lag/No lift shift - developed but very hard on the car!

Custom ME7 code can be written for those who have other, or perhaps bespoke requirements. (e.g. The knocklight), frankly Volvo ME7 has been bust WIDEopen )

Big thumbs up from me, I currently have a customised version of this map and made 342.5bhp. Spec of my car is 3" cat back exhaust, ported and polished head, shimmed block and VXR injectors. Next to fit is a 3" downpipe and KLracing intercooler and I will be back to have the mapped tweaked probably looking at around 360bhp.

LOL, all work can also be carried out in Nottingham by Shemtek. He's my reseller. Is that South enough? (south for me anyway )

That's extremely north for us 170 miles, I guess we could rent the soft loader?

The softloader is free with a map, it just needs a DiCE unit to work and a laptop.

If the DiCE unit and a laptop was something that would be helpful to be able to rent then I'd certainly look at getting something available, in a flight case for example.

So can Shem custom map, or does he just get the map from you?

I believe Shem is doing M4.3 & M4.4 himself, ME7 he gets from me.

Yeah, that's the problem, once I've got an uprated intercooler, and meth injection, then I'll want a map specifically for that car, if you're just sending Shem a map, it's going to be somewhat generic.

You have got it wrong there mate. Shem is fully furnished with my datalogging and flashing software. He drives and logs, and also gives me personal feedback, then I interpret the logs and send him an update to flash. We rinse and repeat until we're both happy. The results are normally pretty good that way.

Depending on your car two visits might be required, one to read the map, then one to actually map it. It takes time for me to prepare the datalogger and mapping definitions as they're bespoke for each software version.

Shem data logs the car on a run sends the logs up to john who then customises the map for the data logged he then sends shem the file to flash and then the car is taken on another data logged run. The data is sent back to john who tweakes the map again and you then go out for another run. Thats how mine was done anyway.

No bother. I think I'm going to invest in a flight kit for reading ECU's that I can send to customers. That way you'll only need one trip.
