Clutch Change

Hi guys im looking for any information on changing a clutch on my 98 v70 T5 SE 2.3 manual
is it possible to do this job on the roadside/offroad ?
would i need ramps and lifting system?

has anyone here done a clutch replacement them selfs that would know of a guide to replacing one.step by step images/video

crap job, can just get the gearbox out by dropping one half of the subframe and an inch or 2 on the other side, easier if you have a hoist can drop the subframe right down then and lift it back up with it after

As Frankie says.....it's a pain, I got a local guy to do mine as it's very slightly outside my skill set.

the book time is about 14 hours.
you will take this long the first time, but half it the second!

Took me approx 36 hours on my old awd with a rear seal thrown in.
Wouldn't even entertain doing one again, even on my fed. I'd chuck it at my mechanic & let him have the fun.

Book time for a gearbox swop is just under 6hrs, didn't take an extra 8 to fit the clutch
