if i remember correctly, the return pipe has 2 bolts into the turbo, remove these and you can then wiggle it out, you will probably need to replace the gasket as well as the seal to the engine block, or risk it leaking later, a £1 or so extra for peace of mind has got to be worth it...

not seen any inspection plate on the back, pic below is a 2.0l 10v, I don't remember the T-5 being any different last time it was out

and for comparison this was my rolling road result, standard apart from pipercross panel filter and an HLM304 remap, unfortunately it had thrown a hissy fit that morning so was most probably in limp mode so would do much better on another run now all the codes are clear. your car iirc was, even though it was running down on power, it was kicking out more power than the supposed superior p2 2.4 t-5 something to smile about

fair enough. and i see was talking to a few at that day n was told how smooth the power lines n such on mine are is a good sign. ill get the car on the ramps soon ish and have a look as it always sems to settle down to a level then stay but it will loose oil if i top it up? so its not burning it or leaking dramatically

so had a lil emergancy repair to do to the "money relocation device" it decided that the aux belt tentioner was better with no bearing in it and to grind like hell. so i had one that a good freind gave me a while ago. and it promptly spat that out too! sodding thing so went to volvo n bought everything new. tentioner idler pulley belt and all the bolts. fitted the tentioner n idler no issues then cause im stupid. ordered a old style belt with a new style tentioner n routing. wondering why it was too short *DOH*

back to volvo again the local dealer swapped them for me at no charge and the new style belt went right on so now its back on the road again. other than that no real changes to note. its clicked over 180K now so thats a thing and my passenger side seat backrest has stopped working. i can hear the motor click but no movement is made so lord knows. ill look at it someday in the future

next stop is to try n fix its oil leak ive bought all new seals n gaskets for that area (1x turbo drain gasket 1x turbo drain o ring 2x turbo drain bolts) so once my new jack arrives ill attempt that. my old jack is buggered so im treating myself.

    new shiny bits

the 2nd belt with a glitter finish!

    and all the bits installed

sticky caliper does this to your disks =(

    new grille!

    bye bye old bars

Right did some more work on the beast today =) along with a general wash i installed my cd autochanger properly and got my color coded door handles on!

thanks to my freind tony for being on hand via phone for technical advise cause i couldnt figure where the hell the changer bolted to cause the bolthole was hiden under some felt that made it look like every other bit of floor! and the job was made jus a lil bit harder by the mess of wires and all the wires for my towbar! stupid thing. gave the lakes auto cd autochanger cover find a good scrubbing and some vinyl care n it came up good as new!

and thanks to T5pete for also bring on hand to tell me that i gotta press the possy drive in on the door handles to get them to come off. and with a lil help from my dad holding the door lock mechanism forwards while i got the handle in n bolted up the job went a lot easier than expected and oh my god does it update it!

so now here's how it looks also showing the dog-guard in the daylight =)

    Mess of wires n ££££!

    Finally sitting right!

cd changer cover cleaned up good as new almost!

and after some autoglym vinyl care it came up even better!

    nice and clean =)

    dog guard in the daytime!

V70 color coded door handles polished

general side on pic to show the new handles

and after some tire black =)

thanks. it does need some more performance soon but i wanna have everything fixed first before i shove more power or im just gonna break things. 302MM brake upgrade next payday with 4 recon calipers each corner. 302 disks. dunno on pads yet but i will be getting some braded lines too. so i can actually stop when i put the power through it =)

Looking great, colour coded handles are a great addition to an 850

Jealous of the CD changer, my car doesn't appear to have the pre wiring for it would you believe!
