It's a shame you're 'tuning specialist' didn't run you through the basics of mechanics.

Oh, don't worry, he won't need to. All I'll say is, I look forward to my next rolling road day.

Yes, he did need to, because a competent mechanic wouldn't take an angle grinder to their anti roll bars when they can't see what they're doing, neither would they fit hub assembly bolts that were too long, nor give their wheel bolts a liberal coating of copper grease.

Sorry mate, back on topic, I assume you've checked all the vac pipes. Have you tried winding the actuator in a couple of turns?

Whatever you have found Frankie through swopping things around it is not entirely true as we know remaps to be........your 850R hasn`t had a re-map BUT in Volvo`s eyes it has had there own re-map as the map is different in your motor.

So yes, it is standard to the car but not to normal 850 T5`s!

As well the Modified Motronic 4.3 and NOT 4.4 as some think they have it also has the different turbo so you cannot compere with normal T5 again!

At 252bhp your actuator won`t be loose either.

Why don`t you just leave all alone and drive it?

thanks for that keith but the difference between the 2 ecus is alot more than 1.3psi which is the difference between t5 and r, and it wouldnt boost to the end of the white gauge if it was standard only halfway, i will be putting my boost gauge on to measure as best as it can, ill set the standard ecu to around 10 psi then ill put the mapped one back in and see what it produces.

and il will be leaving it alone i just want it to be where its supposed to be, i'm thinking of putting the whole car back to original.

You need to check the actuator pressure before you do anything because if its correct you know you've got a problem else where, e.g. bcs, boost leak etc.
