    My v70 R

    Hey guy,

Some of you might recognise this, Shaun's old R.
Had it a few months now, love driving it!

Had a few little bit and bobs go, changes the P/S pump and recently got a ABS and TC light come on.
Also is there any way of changing the side the fog light comes on? I've checked the wiring diagrams and it's as if both should come on at the same time..?
    Anyways here's some pics...

My rear fog lamp only comes on on one side too, so I guess thats the way its supposed to work. My old 850 was prewired for both sides, but there was no bulb holder for the 'other' side - IIRC I had to fit a bulb holder and plug the cable in and then both sides illuminated. No stupid canbus/ECU controlled lamps on these Perhaps the V70 is the same? In which case you could plug in the side you want and disconnect the other? Just thinking out loud...

Only plod cars have active rear fogs on both sides but it's supposed to be a relatively easy fix.

Thanks guys! Will have a better look but this also looks pre wired and already has bulbs on both sides.. I could always run the wire across but I wanted to see if there was a better way.

    Yeah Shaun850

Yeah I got a lap on the ring but took it easy, didn't fancy binning it into a wall!

Here's another pic from a trip I took to Austria as well.

You can't swap the fog lights over legally, it's either just one on the off side or both, you can't just have one on the nearside.

Sorry, I didn't explain why.. I'm registering it as a British car in Germany so it needs the fog on the passenger side.. Alternatively both sides then I won't need to think about it again.

Thats so old fashioned. Stick a flasher relay in there and have them alternating It'd be a damn sight more effective - people would be far more cautious lol

Why didn't I think of that!? Maybe do the same to the interior lights and have a party?

So I’ve upgraded, and what an awesome car!
It’s given me a year of perfect driving.... until now...

Excess pressure in the coolant tank, with a little cream in the oil. Is this the start of disaster!?
