    Puddle lights

    Hey Guys,

    I have a 2007 Volvo S40 with puddle lights. Is there a way to activate the puddle lights when I unlock the car without having to push the yellow button?

    Also wing mirrors folding in and out when I lock and unlock the car.

    Is this a simple software update or is there more to it?

    I am confident that with the right tools you can change the Canbus settings. I too have a 2008 S40 with approach lights, however I have never tried to make them come on when unlocking the car.

    Nearly everything on these cars is interlinked, so I would be surprised if you couldn't do it.

    There'll be a software tweak somewhere. It's amazing what you can get these cars to do.

    There's a Canbus extender available for the P2 S60/V70 which allows you to fiddle with different settings, there may be something similar for the S40/V50.
