When you've finished queefing, what turbo you putting on and what power are you expecting. I may get my 16v head up to 300-320 cfm from the stock 220, that should give me easily 500 bhp at 2 bar boost.

    Don't be daft.

Pete would never lower himself to being sponsored by Pukka Pies, the pale southern imitation of a proper northern pie like Hollands!

I will be seeing around 500 but with good spool times unlike the bus turbos

might be putting a gtw3884 on mine. A gt30 might be a bit too small, but I've seen the odd one that looks huge, must depend on version. The hx40 is heavy, will need a good manifold!

Great big turbos are fine for bragging rights but tbh that's where it ends also our engines are of a small diplacment even with a low a/r there going to take a time to spool.
A good 500 hp with decent traction off the line will take some beating.
Just for instance james t5r has a much bigger turbo and much more power than my custom 19t but setting off on the 1/4 the 19t just leaves it it's only till 3rd gear pull and he's on ful power he starts to pull me in by that time the race is over.

Could be worse, you could be Donna.

She got so sick of being beaten by a long-haired Manc in an automatic, she gave up!

I don't think that was the problem with Jim he was too afraid of breaking a shaft or gearbox that he didnot launch the car heavy .and the map still needed adjusting .or he cannot drive lol.larger turbos are good depends what exhaust housing your using .i have a hybrid t4 but with a .63 3in exhaust housing .when I had the t35 on I was on full boost by 2.200rpm .i was using a 960 65mm to at the time too .im using a 75mm to now and custom manifold so the lag should be low still .also the t35 only has a .48 2.5 in exhaust housing so quick spool up too and that's the turbo Jim has on his car now .i still say Jim has a low 13 high 12 quarter mile car when hooked properly imoa

You've only got to look at Dean many cars have more power but none can touch him or catch him till 3rd gear I was only using Jim bob as a instance as carl using a turbo capable of 700+

Not true. Like Smithy earlier stated, it depends on the exhaust size. You can easily match holset to your liking.
    Affordable, strong and capable.
