I might be up for a meet depends on the date and the place, Brighton would be cool, as i could nip off to Portsmouth then to see my family.

If you really want to see a good selection of clean motors then there is a meet every month at the Crooked Billet in Iver, Bucks,
I know it is a bit of a trek for some of you, but it is a good afternoon out,

    Yep, count me in.

Would I have to drive up to London first, just so I can drive back home in convoy? :-)
The M23 + A23 from London via Gatwick to Brighton is a nice, quick road. But my favourite route from M25 into Brighton is cross country via Tunbridge and Lewes.

How about a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, give people time to get there, option for staying into an evening, maybe?

I tried to organise something simlar last year, had quite a few interested but nearer and nearer the suggested date more and more people dropped out due to cost of a B&B etc!!

    meets

    cost could be an issue,
especially for the people who have driven a long way to get south,
as its going to cost them in fuel just to get down this end,
an obvious choice to meet would be somewhere like gatwick airport or somewhere like that as its a good landmark & quite easy to find even if your not from around here,it will be well sign posted,
makes it a bit easier for the not so locals.
just a thought, what do you think, what did you have in mind,

doesnt have to be a B&B though, it could just be an afternoon meet up and if any good ideas come out of it then people can go from there?

How about we say a Saturday afternoon about 3.00pm just north of Brighton?

I think it would be best to do it in the new year, as people will be very busy before Xmas, myself included!

If we said, about 3pm, we could carry it on into the evening with a meal, then those who wanted to could stay in Brighton and make a weekend out of it and those who didnt could go home...

    Venue suggestion

As a possible venue, can I suggest the Five Bells Inn on the A275 at Chailey.
Fantastic food, large car park, play garden.

Ah yes. I go there usually once a week or more... may have seen you there!

Lovely in the evening by that open fire, nice comfortable armchairs!

Superb suggestion - I was thinking possibly Devils Dyke, but that pub up there is a little.. clinical!! Yes, the Five Bells it is!
