    Question Wheel arch liners

How much of a pain in the butt are the front arch liners to remove?
Drill few rivets out and a spot of wrestling?

Depends if they are tucked in behind the shocks, if so then it's a shocks off job.

they weren't on my 850. As said, a couple of pop-rivets to drill out & plastic nuts to undo & pull. I did get told (on an American forum) that there structural lol

The P2 wheel arch liners are trapped behind the strut and up by where the strut goes in to the mounds. I guess it's a strut off job on a P2.

as pedro says, 850 piece of cake or for the yanks a walk in the park, as for p2's, james's will always more complicated and will need it's own thread, to be able to remove a simple piece of plastic, probably including a video and a sh#t load of pics.......lol :0

I wouldn't use wax oyl. We removed and stripped everything wire brushed and sanded down inner wings to remove any surface rust, rust inhibitor on, underseal And then waxed using dinnitrol products. Depends how far you want to go with it

I did this, but yet to wax. I did the complete under side as well, rear rails where the exhaust hanger bracket bolts up is a favourite for rust. I also replaced the rear bumper brackets at the same time.

I did the engine bay when engine was out, only thing I have left to do is remove the seal covers and check them.

Definitely the time with these cars to start thinking about this, before they get as bad as peters restoration.

Have you got a link to your wax product? I want to wax the inner wings in engine bay.

Mine we're a paint in the bottom to remove, had to drill out one or two of the fixings as a previous owner had used some crappy screws. I sadly bent the top edge of mine which now annoys me everytime I look at it, so be careful.
