Ah so that's why James thinks the S60s are inferior, they only have the bear necessities!

Don't worry James... I'm with you... A S60 isn't a real Volvo....(hence why I now own 3 Mitsubishis and one of them has a Renault(????) engine...).

I would say that trim levels can vary a bit. I haven't really noticed anything majority different when looking at other peoples cars.

James are your V70/S60 the same year?

Am I the only 1 that thought of course they are different?
I've worked in Toyota & vauxhalls car plants & the estate cars & saloon cars never share the same floor pan. The stress & impact points are completely different for the body to be welded to which cause the cars to banana or twist.

No one is denying they are different and it's been proven that the V70 has more leg room, the problem I have with his statement is the use of the word 'Inferior' in relation to the specs!

From what I've read over the years the V70 is based on the S80 chassis.

There are two levels of speaker pack the 'premium' (?) package with the added option of sub in the spare wheel well.

Meant to also say... many were company cars and the tax brackets might have made it better to buy a 'inferior' model and spec it up and vice versa. FWIW my V70 SE has everything bar the shat nav and headrest screens, folding mirrors, sub, zenons, the works

They're a year out, the S60 is 2002, the V70 2001. On the S60 there's a blank where the heated seat buttons should be.

The S60 is an inferior car in my opinion, and I can get away with saying that seeing that I now own both an S60 and a V70 P2.

The cars are definitely different and that's backed up by the fact that the S80 and V70 share a Haynes Book of B*llo*ks and the S60 has a separate one.

Yeah whatever James. You keep believing that. It's no wonder you're falling out with people left, right and centre with your stupid comments. I suggest you look up the specifications between my car and your car! There is no way that my S60 is inferior to your V70 in specification! If you think YOUR S60 is inferior to YOUR V70 then you need to clarify it else you're going to look like a complete knob with your current statement.
