Question S60 vs V70 passenger cabin

I was giving someone a lift home in the S60 last night. As I picked up the other half from work, one of her colleagues who lives just up the road needed to get home, so I offered him a lift. I've done this before for him and previously and always in the V70, sothis was the first trip he'd had in the S60.

I noticed he struggled to get in and out of the back of the S60 far more than the V70 and I just wondered if the passenger cabin was physically shorter on the S60? In other words, less leg room for the rear passenger cabin.

I've been explaining to people that the V70 and S80 are the executive estate and saloon cars whereas the S60 was designed and launched as a 'Sports Sedan', so in effect is 'inferior' in spec to that of the other 2 models. I wonder if the car is physically smaller inside too. This supports my belief that the speaker system quality seems better in the V70 that the S60 and that the SE spec in the S60 doesn't included the heated front seats that are present in the V70.

Anyway, can anyone confirm whether or not the S60 passenger cabin is in fact shorter than that of the V70 (P2)...?

I dont belive it is however the curve on the door area does make it harder to get im and out as have had both and the s60 was harder to clean the back area out

How can you say that the spec of an S60 is inferior to the V70, they're the same. The V70R has no more or less equipment than a S60R, and it's the same as the rest of the range. Different option packs may have been specified when a car was being built which would be the only reason a V, or S of equivalent level differ.
As for getting in the back, the S60 has more steeply sloped doors than the V70, as for legroom I wouldn't know as I've never sat in the back of a V70.

The V70 & S60 rear floor mats are different. The V70 mats are a inch or so longer.
That's why they are listed separately.

Inferior in spec?? James can I have some of what you're smoking please? You really need to look up the definition of 'INFERIOR'

Oh and as for the speaker side of it, the speaker quality will be the same but the sound will be different because of the cabin space and shape deflecting the sound waves in a different pattern causing the acoustics to be 'DIFFERENT' not 'INFERIOR'!

There's about 40-50mm difference in floorpan length between the V70 and S60, I found that out when I tried to fit S60 skirts to the sweed.

For the record, mine's SE spec and has sod-all but the bare minimum, not even an internal temp sensor. It had 2 cup holders but they were swapped for an ashtray/cubby arrangement (nobody ever smokes in the car).
