Alternator failure?

Hi there I had all or most of the dash lights come on this morning could smell oil so stopped car and a oil cooler hose had failed oil everywhere under bonnet! Fixed hose tonight and lights are still on I'm suspecting the alternators full of oil! What do we reckon?

Lucky not to of wrecked your engine you can lose the 6L in about 5secs i know it happened to me, does it run alright now?

Yes mate there was no oil on stick but that's only 1.5l took about 2l thank god no rattles lol just filled the alternator full of oil! Good job it didn't go last week as we were at the ring!
