Fitting a GWE intake pipe to a standard airbox with a 3" MAF housing.

As the title says really, has anyone fitted one of Graeme's intake pipes to a standard airbox with a 3" maf housing on their 850?

If so, what silicon pipes/angles did you use?

I've fitted one of Graeme's intake pipes but it was to P2.5 V70 I just used the hoses supplied by Graeme however I did need to change mikolar clips as one was too small

The bottom silicon hose is a 90 degree one but the top hose is 73 degrees..........you may have to get one specially made as i tried to cut back a 90 one but as yet i can`t be arsed to fit it!.....it`s all in the shed in a box.....

I used a 90 degree bend, but it isn't ideal if you are trying to use the standard airbox. Its a bitch, but it does fit with persuasion and brute strength.

Heheh, most things fit with some not-so-gentle persuasion :-D

Hehe, I'm actually chatting with him on email about it now. Thanks guys. Seems like he's shifted to a 90º bend in the metal which might make things a bit easier.

Having had 2 intake pipes off him which were full of swarf, a down pipe, that I had to drill the lambda holes out of, as the lambdas wouldn't fit in, and some wheel spacers, that are woefully out of balance, and 1 won't even fit over the hub, maybe it's best he stays away.

I've only fitted one so far, but yes it fitted fine, however if I'd fitted it as it had been supplied, it would have done a lot of damage to the engine.

Well, if they're not out of balance they're not straight, as anything over 50 mph with them fitted is impossible as the car shakes so much.

Supposedly, though it looks like JamesT5 has been at them with an angle grinder.

IIRC were these custom made that Graeme had fabricated? I'm sure they were.....I use TPi hubcentric spacers - spot on

Yes he said he had them custom made, but looking at the state of them I think they were custom made by Stevie Wonder.
