ETS light on and code 9400

Well I'll start by saying that the cruise control has always been a bit temperamental, when your on cruise it cuts out when it feels like it and sometimes it won't set. I've plugged my SnapOn Odus in and the only fault that it picks up is a 9400 code "brake pedal sensor"

Could this also be why the ETS light comes and goes? As I say there are no other codes that the Odus brings up, and when the lights on it doesn't go into limp and drives as fault free as usual.

I've had a look at the ETM (due to the ETS light) and it's got the yellow sticker on so from what I've previously read I'm guessing that's already been replaced at some point, or is it just a myth that white stickers are from factory and yellows are replacements?

Any help would be much appreciated, oh and do you know if the brake pedal sensor is available aftermarket, or is it dealer only?

    Thanks in advance!

ok so assuming the code is correct and from the description you have given i would guess at brake position sensor which is located in the engine bay on the brake servo. My cruise started playig up and eventually stopped working completly when this sensor went. Use gen volvo item from FRF Swansea (Rufe) on here

And this could be the ETS light cause? Thanks for your help I will get in touch with him and get one ordered. It's fortunate that you can get them separate as on the Mercs you have to have a complete servo if the travel sensor gives up.
