yes the wk before i did the same route in 1hr 50 at 19.5mph, but it was in the evening and the temps were cooler so i think that helped

Thanks bud, she's lovely totally different sort of car to the Volvo's so tbh would be unfair to judge which is better.

The Volvo is much more of a driver's car and wants tobe driven. The Merc is totally opposite it drives you, so i just find myself cruiseing effortlesly everywhere in total peace and quiet zero rattles and queaks, and 500mns of torque is plenty for overtaking and the Mpg is totally outstanding considering the weight of it.

I prefer it for family travel and long distances, but if you like a dam good thrash its not suited. Dunno what a e55k would be like tho but im gonna find out one day lmfao!

Depends on what you want from a car.
