Hi all,
Really need to sort the lower wishbones on my 2001 V70 t5
All the ones i seem to find don't seem to be suitable for a police spec vehicle
Any ideas where i can purchase a pair ?
Thanks John

All P2 wishbones are the same mate. You've been fed duff information.

Got an old discovery now.
I've done a how-to guide for fitting powerflex bushes to old wishbones without taking them off the car.

technically, they are listed as being different on a police car but it is because they have the Volvo version of heavy duty bushes so the actual frame size is the same 00-06 on the p2's.
the 07-09 cars have a different wishbone altogether.
Polybushing is the way forward mate, you won't regret it. I've got Powerflex Black on mine which are rock hard and as Martin and I found out, almost impossible to fit without a lot of muscles, but I will add well worth it for me personally. If you want a slightly softer ride, use the Purples and if you want softer again (like 10% stiffer than rubber), try the Yellow bushings (if they do them for the front wishbones).
It's basically a fit and forget job.
the ball joint on these later cars are different being xc90 sized but :

Chassis fitment is the same... Bushes look the same (meaning the powerflex conversion is good to go), the steering stop fitting looks different... I can see some scope for fitting the XC90 stub axle and utilising the opportunity for 336mm or bigger XC90 brake setup...

Good luck, just make sure you remove the driveshaft bolt in the hub and don't let the driveshaft work it's way out of the inner CV - it'll fall to bits and will be an expensive ball-ache

There's no need to waste time with the driveshaft. Just undo the trackend from hub and you'd be fine...
Also some of the xc 70 had the different arm
I wouldn't buy second hand. They are made of alloy and easy to bend, even a slight bend of a degree or two will be enough to scrub your tyres prematurely. Buy them new and fit the polys into it.
LOL, your lighter than my missus and she's a size 10!!
Don't work outside on a windy day....you'll blow away
