    RIP advice

    I'm looking into buying a RIP kit for my '99 ME7 C70

Has anyone had any experience with the do88 ones that are available on eBay?

Or can anyone suggest any others that are of the same quality?

    Thanks!

I bought the do88.se one some 18 months ago, quality piece of kit that also looks good, if the price isn't an issue then I'd say go for it.

Quality wise i doubt you'll find better for the money, they look superb and are a doddle to fit, highly recommended.

Performance ! Have you seen my driving ? I don't think I've 'spooled up' the turbo yet lol

Give Jamie at PFV a call he can get these and may even have one in stock.

Snabb.us also do one, but you'd have to pay duty on import.

    I made my own.

i'm sure this has been answered before. But what's the gain from the RIP kits?

Yeah as V70 Graham states faster spool up as boost pipes are shortened, and also cooler intake temperature

Comparing the distance the air has to travel before & after - the RIP kit takes about about 50cm. I am not sure the AIT is that much different.

the biggest gain can be had when fitting with a decent intercooler at the same time- the intercooler does more to lower AIT than the rip kit.
I have got the intercoolers in stock, but not the rip kits due to size and colour options we normally order them in. from stock in Sweden it only takes around 4 working days.
