Thumbs up 'Bonny' has had a Valet (by me)

So my first job on 'Bonny' as the new owner was the give the car a damn good clean. To be fair, it was filthy and if I'm honest probably isn't even finished yet but it looks substantially better than it did 10 hours prior to finishing the job. The leather will need some leather paint at some point with the exception of the drivers seat which needs replacing if I want it to look half decent (the current one looks like a dog has chewed it). The alloys are from a Ford Mondeo and are tatty anyway so at some point I'll be changing them but they'll do for now.

So I got to work cleaning the inside and outside and it's not been easy. It was caked in a thick layer of dirt which has taken a lot of shifting but it's been well worth it.

Here' a collection of photos showing various before and after shots, mainly on the inside.......

(p.s. I also washed the cone filter which was about as black as I've ever sen one).

Good work, always nice to get stuck in

Wasn't the damage to the glovebox from having a gearbox sat there?

The car does look a lot better now, I'll pop some more photos up shortly.

I found the o/s front Tyre was going down rather quickly, turned out to be a leaky valve which I've had replaced today and it's fine now, all leak checked by some pro's down the road. Ultimately these Ford wheels will have to go and as soon as possible.

By the way, I chucked out a few coke cans and soft drinks bottles, serviettes and McDonalds related stuff from under the back seats. Also, the car didn't cost me £300, it cost me £299 because there was about a quid in change under the seats and in the compartments.

On a side note, I found out why the A/C doesn't work today - there's a leak in the system. The back tail gate skin has now been riveted back on using OE clips from the Main Stealers.....

T5 and D5 together after a wash and wipe.....

p.s..... I should really sort out the wonky number plate (I know....)
