I ran my m56 box on JCB ep90 gear oil, the M66 box has industrial ep90 gear oil and works a treat

I think im going to use the genuine Volvo stuff - I've read everything from 75/80, 75/90, 5w30 engine oil, DexronII, Dexrin III, synthetic, semi synthetic and full mineral.

My brain now hurts so im going to leave the choice to the original designers of the gearboxes and spend that little more to put in the right stuff, so I don't have to think about it any more!!
