    D (5) Day this Saturday!

This coming Saturday I'm off to fetch Volvo number 2, the S60 D5 from P Fandango. I'm looking forward to this, I'll have another Volvo to throw so money at and I'll be starting from scratch on the detailing and cleaning too which really excites me because I can spend some time doing it.

I'll be posting pictures as the months roll by.

It's lucky you're looking forward to cleaning it up, because it's going to need it.

Looking forward to the project thread....the D5 should save you a small fortune as the months go by.

Yes, that's the logic. To kind of answer jamesy12345's question below as well, my T5 will be doing a lot less miles now and although I will use it for work now and again and to make trips out to Merthyr Tydfil, I'll be putting the bulk of the mileage on the D5 which will save me a packet in fuel! I love the T5 but the petrol costs are absolute murder, around here especially because rural Wales is not known for straight flat roads! I get around 25 mpg averaged over the week so even 40 - 45 mpg out of a diesel will mean the car will quickly pay for itself.

And if it does breakdown, I have another car on tap to hop in to and get to work in.

2 will be my limit mate, and the only reason I'm buying this S60 is because it's a Diesel and I seem to be racking up a stupid petrol bill. I have over 4000 V-Power points in less than a year and I don't always get to fill up at Shell either. At 2 points per pound spent, do the maths on that - you'll have kittens!

2k on fuel that is crazy. It's next to nowt here...good job cos the Subaru does 6.9 km per litre (about 19.5 mpg)

I did around £60 a week in the T5, and it dropped to £20 in the D5. You won't look back... But keep a toy, as the D5 WILL NOT feed your needs!

Yes I agree, hence the T5 is staying. The D5 is actually a long term money saving plan because my fuel costs are so high and I'm getting sick of filling up my tank every 4 days.

I don't care which one provided he gets me to his place at a reasonable time and preferably before the local Shell garage closes.....

Getting the insurance and tax sorted the two days before I come over mate. Yeah, if you could make sure it does start up although I'll have to bring a new battery on the day.
