I got bored waiting for my new pipework kit to arrive & had the induction & OE rip kit from the s60T5 I just broke lying about & thought.....well, not a lot really.....before I knew what I'd done the old intercooler pipes were off & I'd taken a hacksaw to the top pipe from the s60 and the rest is history.....

The only sticking point was the idle valve feed - the original was too short, but the S60 saved me again & with a bit of fettling one of the coolant hoses was spiced in. the samco hoses fitted by a previous incumbent helped too, just had to swap them around a bit!

It isn't pretty but it definitely works - 30 mile blast this afternoon & all held together & throttle response/lag felt improved.

This is only a 2" kit cobbled together out of boredom & I'm not sure it would hold up under heavy load so looking forward to the real McCoy when it arrives

p.s. the top pipe is the oe Volvo me7 & its plastic, nice & easy to cut as it turned out!!

    Cheers, morgan

Reverse Intercooler Pipework - shortens the distance that air has to flow from the turbo via the Intercooler to the throttlebody. Also by pushing the charged air in the top of the IC the cooler air at the bottom gets pushed into the TB, cooler air being denser & so increasing HP....allegedly!

I wouldn't say more power but definately my throttle response.
That rip isn't as "ghetto" as mine was, at least your pipes are the same colour. Lol

It's only a temporary set up...thought I'd have a crack at it on a rainy sunday morning!

Got a new IC to go in that TC kindly sold me, along with a shiny new 2.5" rip kit & DP in transit - all to be strapped to frankies old 19t

    Happy days....
