    Does this seem reasonable?

This is what I'm planning for my project car, the Bonewagon. Its a '98 V70R AWD auto, so a 2.3 with Motronic 4.4 with cable operated throttle body. I'm looking for a good honest 300bhp - does the following sounds reasonable to achieve this? I've emailed Hamish and AET at Normanton but neither have got back to me

18T turbo with straight flange - got already
    RIP piping
    960 throttle body
Jetex stainless AWD dual exit exhaust - got already
    Do88 intercooler (or similar)
    HLM/RICA or similar remap

I understand that the 18T is only good for 300-320 as after this the air intake temperatures start to get too high. I'm keeping the std V70R manifolds, downpipe & cat, and the std injectors (whites?).

So, would it be reasonable to expect 300bhp (and a substantial torque increase) from this? I don't want to go much higher as its an auto, and will be a keeper - so I don't want to kill it

    Thanks, Sam

    Can't see why not, I'm getting 343 lb/ft in my C70 with just a 16t, only 245 bhp, but I think that's down to a weak actuator.

is there any reason you wouldn't change the downpipe? always though a larger, less restrictive downpipe gives a big improvement on turbo cars

Yep, I bought one off Claymore a few days ago

Looks like I'm not miles out then. Thanks for the (fast!) feedback everyone, much appreciated

BTW, Frankie is right - the routing is a nightmare because its an AWD - the Ferrita one is £600 IIRC, so if I can get away without swapping that out I will - thats a lot of notes! I know the original one isn't the best, but for the time being I'll keep it.

You're prob right Frankie. Just wanting to overcome the comparative lethargy of the AWD v the FWD that I'm now used to
