    940 radio slot....double din

The radio slot in 940 is weird 1.5 din thing.

wanting to make better use of this area.....possibly fitting double din or 2 x single din with gauges in one.

I read that 760/780 radio slot fits (2× single din) also using smaller ash tray door, will have to go to volvo for price as parts rare for these.

Does anyone know if the volvo 960 fascia fits the 940? Most I've seen seem to be a single piece wood effect but are double din and readily available.
Some forums say the fuse tray and relays stop double din fitment ??? If so could I put heater controls at the bottom and adapt top section.

Just want to hear what you guys have done, or any ideas.......pics would help

oh yeah cause its easy as that.lol

    How about this Idea....... ??

remove heater controls and put 2/3 gauge plate in there.
Remove radio surround and lighter cubby.
manufacture panel in fibreglass/alloy that will take heater controls in area of ash tray and room for 7" screen.

you really are an arse martin.
