I've decided to go for the same venue as last year. The forum is pretty much split North/South and no one came up with anything sensible.

The Ock Mill in Abingdon is half way for pretty much everyone as we decided last year.

The Date 13th December!!

I still need to contact them to check they are doing christmas menu as there is nothing on their site as of yet. I'll do another thread with all the solid details.

Can I have an idea of numbers please so I can contact them and get a booking in. We'll be looking at having all monies collected by November 23rd.

i think you need to rethink where halfway is lol, abingdon is between oxford and reading on here, cant get much further south

It's all Birmingham to me. I agree you can't please everyone, but as us southerners were kept happy last year, thought it would be good to hold it further north to keep the northerners happy, we'll still travel up.

I'd say Nottingham or Leeds, Manchester for big towns with good nightlife and good transport routes for everyone but Nottingham would be the fairest for the southerners I think I know the air starts to get to thin for you the further north you go

whats wrong with Manchester I have fond memories of student nights out even ended it at a party with some of the cast of Holyoaks unfortunately it wasn't the better half of the cast

Abingdon is 4hrs away from my part of the world! I dont think people from this end of the world would be willing to do 8hrs or so traveling, As said, Doncaters/Leeds/Nottingham are would be about half way for people around this area maybe a little further north then me

Taking Frankie's map (thanks for that mate) and drawing all over it with the practical suggestions, those that would probably come and weighting where multiple people live in a similar area, motorways etc I figure the middle is actually Royal Leamington Spa.
