    Random warning lights

    Got yet another issue now.

Was driving along and I got a warning message on the dash: "BRAKE FAILURE STOP SAFELY". In addition, the tacho, speedo and water temperature gauges all stopped working. T1 reset to a series of dashes and it wouldn't alternate between T1 and T2 if you pressed the trip reset button. The ABS and handbrake warning lights also came on.

I pulled over and switched off and back on again (the brakes still worked incidentally) and everything went back to normal. However, as soon as I pulled away, it did exactly the same thing again. I drove on for a short distance and the car drove normally with no problems with the brakes, but the dash was still the same. I pulled into a car park and switched off again. Everything returned to normal as before. I drove round the car park a bit and this time the dash stayed as normal with everything working fine again. I've since driven another few miles and everything has stayed normal.

    Any thoughts?

If you ask nicely, Martin might even post a link to a video of his revenge on his DIM!
