    850 T5 project/tidy up

    As some know I've bought a 1996 855 T5 auto as a replacement for my broken p2
Well it seems Frankie was right and the rawness of the acceleration and the way they driver has converted me.
So looking to give this one a bit of a tidy up. Here it stands at the minute after a quick clean courtesy of the local hand wash place

To do list in no particular order:
    Get bonnet painted/replacement fitted
    Paint grille leaving chrome sash
    Fit my 18s from p2
New disks and pads all round
    Thorough service
    And more...
    It's a 5 Cylinder Orchestra!

I believe it is mapped. Goes like stink. Boost gauge goes to about 1mm from end of white.

Apparently the lacquered had lifted on the old one and was rusty. This was bought thinking it was the same green but it isn't. Don't know why its rubbed back. I've checked all round underneath etc no signs of any accident damage.
Other than where boost gauge goes how would I know of its been mapped? It pulls you into seat like a friends old 338bhp 2wd saff did.

Pull the ecu out and have a look might have a sticker or writing on, if not look at the securing tabs around the ecu there will be scratch marks where they have been lifted to open it.

Now being used to P2's and how finicky they can be with 'just having things unplugged' is it going to bugger anything up pulling the ecu out?

Absolutely, and i would never suggest that it would be any different, but it seriously pins you back in your seat. i never had that with either my P1 T5 Auto or P2 V70 T5 Chocotronic.

expect to see a few wanted posts soon if the P2 sells.
