The R cant be too rare?

Volvo V70R facelift are surely not as rare as some people might think.
Was told yesterday by someone in the know that there is one local guy with two and another with three and he has just bought another.
That did surprise me a little as I’v never seen them on the road but apparently they are used.

So other than the one's you know about, when was the last time you saw one driving on the road?
Trust me, they are rare! I do seem to see more S60R models than V70R's, Thou, the last time I saw one on the road driving was over a month ago. That makes 'em very rare in my book.
Now ask me how many Ford Focus ST's I've seen...or Audi RS4/RS6's...Loads in comparison.

I suppose it depends on the cars you're interested in, I didn't really notice S60s at all before we got the R, and other than seeing Sharkey R or S70T5Chris' cars don't see any S60Rs, or V70Rs for that matter, but then I very rarely see another C70.

They're pretty rare up here, I think i've saw one flash green one in my town and it was a tourist.

On the road I've not seen many either, but then I've probably missed them! The darker colour ones are right sleepers.

True, ours is debadged as well, so unless you see the front grille, you wouldn't know.

I drive from bolton to chippenham and back every weekend. I have done for over 5 years and have only once seen another S60R, never seen a v70R. That's a 400mile round trip, i think that classes as rare.

Where I work on the same estate there's a sonic S60R which is very very well looked after ,a while back stopped and had a quick chat with the driver and said give me a shout if ever selling it , comment back no chance it's a keeper !.
I do see some on my travels around the southwest.

Send Sir Alex the finance guru and our neighbour your questions. lol

Now back to the V70R, I know where there is a 07 plate black and a sonic one.
The one I saw yesterday was I think titanium grey 55 plate.
Lee they are all around the Aberdeen area hence the question.

Isn't it mainly because Volvo didn't sell many, hence why they stopped making the R variants.

It was because of sales etc in America as far as I know the main reason for stopping it.

I think when the tax band changed it just put the brakes on sales in the UK back in 2006.
