Help, not stupid just a newbie

After buying my first Volvo a little over a month ago I feel it's time I thought about getting it feeling how I want it to feel. I've played with cars for a while now, even built a few in the past. Only thing is I'm used to dealing with flat fours, easy engines to work on and easy to modify.

So now I've trawled the internet and looked at various posts and articles to do with diesel Volvo C30's. I'm now starting to get some sort of shopping list, only thing is I don't think i'll find what I'm looking for at my old flat four haunts lol.

remove single exit diffuser, install twin exit - Off of a D5?

fit twin exit exhaust - not sure which brand to go for?

fit aftermarket air intake system - K&N Typhoon or CCI intake system??

Re-map/chip - not sure best brand to go for?

Maybes

Aftermarket intercooler - ??

Larger injectors - ??

Lowering springs/Strut braces - ??

Where do you guys go to get the 'said' items?
Is there anywhere near Southampton?
I've been told a lot of parts I can get for a Ford Focus fit the C30 aswell, is there much a price difference between Volvo and Ford parts?
