The 850 2.5 throttle body will be the smaller one.

with regards to maf from previous experience I would always try buy a genuine bosch item, I've learnt that the hard way after buying inferior bosch copies......but that is the correct part number.
use the list in the description for the item and find one on flea bay from a parts car.

The throttle body that you want is from the 960......but to be honest I dont know at what level you out flow the original Tb, think the standard Tb would flow more than enough for stock ports and valve size?????

True, i was thinking it was just one less restriction to worry about, what with the much higher levels of boost compared to stock, mabey for the time being i will try the stock TB (well cleaned of course) and if i feel the throttle response is tardy, turbo lag is a bit much or feel its just lacking something ill look into it again

If you do it now at least you wont have to do it later

It was more of a question to the masses rather than a dont do it.
Be good to know at what level it needs upgrading.

Adding the 3" throttle body does make a nice difference. It's not a straight forward job. You'll need an adapter of some sort as the 960/850 uses four bolt holes and the 940 one 3. And fitting 3" pipework from the intercooler to throttle body helps too. Have a look at my 940 death and rebirth thread on VOC. I used a modded kjet manifold.

if you could post a link barkster that would be much appreciated, ill take a good look, I've been trying to get some information on manifold upgrades, I'm 90% sure my 940 has a 4 bolt pattern, but ill double check, i am indeed going full 3" the only thing that wont be is the turbo turbo compressor intake and output, but all piping in and out will be 3" and the exhaust (other than maybe the flange) will hopefully be 3"

thanks for the help, much appreciated, the projects coming along now i have sold the wrong turbo i bought, dose anybody no anyone on here selling a td04hl-16t cheap

    thanks again

I got the adapter/ spacer laser cut as trying to get a 65mm hole in the plate would be tricky. Ideally it needs to be about a good inch thick so the 940 tps will fit!
