    brake servo......

    What are the symptoms of the brake servo going bad.
    I don't break gearboxes. Just engine mounts.............

    When you say hard pedal. Today when coasting to a stop it felt like the brakes jammed on a bit. Is that what you mean.

    no i mean your pedal will feel hard to press down with not much stopping, or it could feel soft and got to the floor without much stopping power, listen for air leaks around the servo

    That sounds more like a sticking caliper.

    Depends who you ask, some people don't, they just buy a new one, or you can do it the old fashion way, buy a seal kit for it, strip it down, and clean it up. Generally the piston gets a build up of crap on it, and needs a good going over with some emery paper, as do the bolts that hold the front of the caliper to the rear.

    could also be the brake hose breaking down inside not letting the fluid through
