    My 850 T5

Well, after searching high and low for the past 4-5 months for a manual 850 T5, luck would have it that I find one just up the road from me!

92,000 miles, full service history, and is my first entry into the world of boost

I haven't got round to taking many pictures yet, just the one earlier as I've been too busy savoring that 5 cylinder goodness!

Only plans for the time being is to sort out the faded bumper trims, and possibly find some R alloys, and perhaps an R front bumper too. Did they do the R's in this colour? Or will I need to have one painted up?

It also needs dropping down a bit as it looks like a 4x4!

Couple of little niggly issues, ABS/TC light keeps coming on, maybe sensor or the ABS ring?
Petrol cap doesn't seem to lock, is this a common problem? Seems like the little pin is sticking.

That's it really, it's nice to get out of Fords at last

    Thanks mate, simple enough fix?

I thought as much, paint is very good on it so hopefully it wont be too bad to match! Are the R bumpers rare?

Yes its very easy, there use to be a good guide online but i can only find this one without pictures.

R front bumpers arent to hard to find, believe you can still get them from Volvo, although i bought mine from ebay, new unpainted for about £120.

Congrats on the car fella...also saw this listed, even bought some bits off the guy - some HD droplinks!

I've got an 1997 S70R auto, in sliver with a dark interior that I'm going to be pulling apart in June. You can come & take a look at the car as it stands & pick the bits you want- as I suspect you're not too far away - I'm in Baldock, N Herts, right on the A1M, J10.

Otherwise send me a list of bits you might be interested in & i'll sort out some prices. It'll all be going relatively cheaply as I got the car for an engine donor & all proceeds get ploughed back in to my 850R.

    Cheers, Morgan

The wheel on the S70R are comets - 17"

As for what fits - pass. Although are very similar cars. Have a quick squizz through build threads & see what others have done would be a good start. Let me know if you'd like anything.

    Cheers, Morgan

That's a challenge many have taken and failed, it's not just the looks of the car, it's getting it down the strip in the low 13's that's the hard bit. Good luck bud.

Not sure on the comets! I'm quite liking Titans/Volans, but that seems quite a common look. Although I haven't seen another T5 around my way so that might not be a bad thing!

Also, what exhaust systems are we all running? Whilst I'm ordering a few bits I was thinking of getting a cat-back too, Demon-Tweeks are only showing Jetex systems, any experience with them?
