    Not another Tyre Thread

Need to change all tyres as discussed in another post to my Volvo S60T6 with Polestar 340bhp AWD. I want a complete new set so that they are all the same. OK so it is a bit OCD, but thats me. I have the opportunity of purchasing the following 235x40x18 tyres but not sure what current thinking is:
Existing tyres Front Evergreen (new) Rear Continental. Will sell them on eBay. I don't like mixing makes.

    1. Continental Conti Sport Contact 3 W rated. (Original)
    2. Pirelle P Zero Y rated.
    3. Michelin Pilot Sport 3 Y rated.
    4. Dunlop Sport Max RT Y rated.

All help fully appreciated and suggestions welcomed.

Going on reviews it looks like the Michelin Pilot Sport 3's come out on top, I know they aren't on your list but a few members use these (myself included) and rate them highly.

I run 235/40/18 Pirelli P Zero Rossos and have no reason to complain.....excellent tyres in my book.

I don't think you can wrong with any of the tyres in your shortlist.

Yep they were on my list. Thanks for the reply. They seem to be well priced.

Spanner in the works but Good Year Eagle F1 Assymetric 2's.

Won many many awards, come fourth in the results for your size but compare the miles driven to others No1 tyre has covered 77k with 70 reviews the Eagle F1's 1.4 Million miles and 207 reviews.

I think they last well and handle well too, fitted to all our Ambulance rapid response cars.
Arguing is pointless....she may not be right but she's never wrong

    I'm running on sportcontact 5's.
They are rubbish. Loads of road noise and sound and feel like they are slipping on low speed tight turns.
Out of your list I would go with the pilot sports. I had them on my 265 horse SAAB 95 aero and they were great. Quiet, grippy, and last well. They will be going on next time I replace the tyres.

Had a very good price for a set of Continental Contact 5 @ £138 each including vat and fitting. Will now get a price for Michelin Pilot Sport 3 these tyres were top of the tyre reviews.

Just ordered set of 4 @ £130 per tyre Goodyear F1 Assymetric 2's. Well recommended by those within the trade who suggest that they should well suit the S60T6.

Thanks chaps for the advice and help.

nothing wrong with the the eagle f1s.
wouldve saved almost 100 bob on the 4 if youd of went for vortis, wich imo is a better tyre

I think it's another case of 'if you ask 5 people you'll get 5 different answers'

I'm sure you'll be pleased with the tyres you have chosen.

its decent advise for a tyre clueless person imo.
forking out 500 (or whatever...)on a set of tyres isnt much fun.
and you can only compare them to the ££££e nankangs or whatever crap was on it before you...
that way youd learn what tyres you like as its a very 'preference' topic
i dont think youve made a bad choice by all means!
