not sure if it helps but im stripping mine out for go faster reasons and after getting annoyed trying to remove it nicely I found the best way was to sit in the space that was previously occupied by the passenger seat..reach up and grab hold of the handle above the door for leverage and proceed to kick ten tonnes of crap out of it

    full respray..plenty of body mods..comets..ray cat back noise pipe..decat and wrapped downpipe..me7 exhaust manifold..3" throttle body with ported inlet manifold..blue injectors..adjustable fuel reg..reverse intercooler pipework..19t..open cone air filter..255 fuel pump..m-r-p short shift..boost gauge..unknown remap..adjustable suspension..lightweight crank pulley..n/a cams..stripped out interior..and a heavy right foot

Taking the full dash out is a big job, from memory the stuff around the switches isnt a seperate part, it's moulded into the dash. I'd follow Paul's example and wrap it in place.
