So the Rica map is my cough/splutter issue...............

Whilst with Munster in Barnsley today, we tried both a standard R and a mapped ecu, both of which worked absolutely fine with my car. No sign at all of the cough/splutter that my car has been suffering with at 3,500rpm, so I can eliminate the plugs etc.

Now to look at what I can do with my current ecu as I don't have a spare, or I'm buying one of Wayne(Munster), if one of his should become available. Thanks for helping me find the cause Wayne.

It's just good to know what the issue is sometimes, cos you start thinking of all kinds of things. Had no plan to do this today as I just went over to give Wayne/Pete their mats, but when Wayne mentioned the standard ecu, the plan fell into place.

It could be a direct cause of the map but it might also be a failing piece of hardware on the car. Maps tend to push hardware harder so it is possible that even if you ran standard for a bit the issue may occur.
