    The Never Ending C70 Issues

Here we go again, for some reason the car is playing games with me when i floor it
some days it gives me awesome turbo power then others (more often than not) it feels like im either running of no turbo or its taking forever to spool up
please someone tell me this is an easy fix and that someone has had this issue and solved it
and before you say it the car has be run through a volvo computer and my brand spanking snap on Modis Ultra and gave no codes

Dodgy BCS possibly? Have you got a boost gauge to see how much boost its actually running?

When thinking about it, i only ever had one problem with my s70r and it sounds like a similar issue, and i'm sure that was the actuator. May as well start with that, as it won't cost anything to check.

Should be able to fix it, the hardest bit will probably be just getting the heat shield off lol

If it's sticking, it's easily sorted with dw40 and some wiggling.

See if the actuator is easy to move by hand.

Yep. It's the spigot that connects the wastegate arm to the wastegate inside the turbo that sticks. Plenty of wd40 or plusgas to free it.

If you've not got any dw-40 then you can use wd-40, it works just as well

If the heatshield hasn't been off before then you'll probably need plenty of wd-40, leave it overnight and put some more on.

Have you taken the actuator arm off the lever? (I'm guessing you have) you should have about 90 degrees of movement - if not, a small hammer and more WD40 (or DW40 if you like )

WD-42 is unpredictable but is made specifically to work on C70s

    That's a vacuum pump Dave...

Don't actuators work via positive pressure ?

They do mate, judging by the description, Dave's been using it for something else.
