    3 inch maf

    Can anyone give me some info, what maf housing can i use, will it cause any issues going to a 3 inch maf?

    You can use a Vauxhall Omega 2.5 housing, but yes it will cause you a whole load of grief unless you get it custom mapped, why do you want a bigger maf housing?

    fitting 3inch intercooler piping and wanted the intake to match, looks pretty

    Sorry, it's not that simple, you only fit a bigger maf housing when the standard one reaches the limit of the information it can send to the ecu, the reason for a bigger maf housing is for slower air flow past the sensor.

    As you can see the 850 maxes out @ 800ish kg/hr and the 540 maxes out @ 1100ish kg/hr

    So when you are on WOT upto 300 kg/hr more air will be passing the maf sensor which the ecu will not account for.

    This will cause the engine to run lean and melt something.

    mine's not even mapped, but hadn't got the AFR gauge on then so not sure what the fuel was doing

    I fitted a 3" maf claymore was there and I have an afr gauge it went from 14.7 on idle to over 18 ie off the lean end of the scale be very careful if your thinking of it
