    s40 t4 p1 injector upgrade

    s40 t4 p1 injector upgrade
    Hello chaps.
OK I'm after a few pointers. I have a mild modified s40 t4 p1. Exhaust , Panel filter, actuator adjusted.
I'm thinking of an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. And some new injectors I've been told that bosch reds work well for un upgrade from standard greys.
Any of you guys done similar?
    Regards Davo

The p2 40 series uses Bosch reds standard on the t4 and are 440cc.but you might need a custom remap to get them to work properly on the p1 40 series.

I was thinking going to 550cc with a adjustable regulator. then get a map done to suit the set up

No one can custom map the phase 1 T4. MTE used to do them but don't any more. You can get the generic 240bhp map but nothing custom. You will need a standalone to do it properly or just play with fuel pressure but it will be a bodge at best. If you buy a phase 2 there is a guy who can help.

I was aiming for more than 300bhp with my phase 1 and had a forged engine and big turbo etc. The limiting factor was I couldn't find anyone to custom map it for bigger injectors. I tweaked fuel pressure and ended up with 286bhp but it wasn't Ideal. I was gutted I had to break the car in the end.

No it was custom made for Ashok on T5D5 and was fine running over 400bhp so a good bit of kit, hence me being in 2 minds. I may put it in my phase 2 when I get my 6 pots fitted in a few weeks. I don't want to sell but I'm trying to prep my bike for the track and being skint doesn't help lol
