    19T Fitted!!

    Afternoon fellow Volvo owners.

My 19t arrived yesterday (hybrid) finally got it fitted and running properly today (return o ring split)

The first noticable thing is it holds boost higher in the rev range and running it at 13psi feels alot quicker then the 16t.

It is not as laggy as I was expecting from what people had said in the past about them, it spools later in the rev range but spools just as quick when changing gear higher in the RPM range.

I'm going to get it rolling roaded again in a few weeks to see the difference in the power and torque figures.

I was very iffy about having a 16 converted to a 19 but it works excellently, will see how the reliability holds out once it's been battered a bit :-)

Nice, you'll be getting more airflow from the turbo at 13 psi than you would from thel 16t so itll feel stronger.

So when you fitting nos? Lol.

Cool, was thinking of doing a 19t conversion myself, keep us updated. Get a remap next dude!

Not really that much a hybrid as the 19t has the same turbine as the others in the range, just the compressor wheel and housing are different.

A standard 19t hast the same turbine as a 12t, it's the compressor size that's bigger.

apart from finding a genuine Volvo one, the only other supplier i know of is Kinugawa turbo's. If your trying to convert smaller than a 19t you'll have to get the chra machined by 2mm for the compressor wheel to fit

i couldn't get my hands on any genuine Volvo bits so i ordered the kinugawa kit and it arrived two days ago, a local engineering company is going to machine my 16t chra for around 20 ish quid if i take it in one night, hopefully will get it done in the next few days, was thinking of buying genuine mitsu bearings though

    cheers

i've got a genuine wheel i've been trying to get rid of, but assumed you've gone for a billet one? (6+6 or 11blade)
