FK coilovers for s40/v40 - on offer.

Just wanted to let anyone with an s40/v40 thinking of buying coilovers know that FK automotive currently has AK street coilovers for the '40 on special offer (until 7th june)

Normally £281.17, currently going for £125.48+p&p!!!

These will fit all P2 cars, and P1's if you change the front top mounts and roll bar links.

I have these on my car (as does judgeninja, siamblue, and I'm sure a few others) only height adjustable, not damping but for the price they are fantastic!

    Hope it helps someone!

Are we talking P2s as from July 00 onwards? Either way thats a bargain. How is everyone finding them?

Yes, even though on the website it states 2003-2004 they will fit all 2000-on P2's
I've even fitted them to a 1998 P1 by changing the front top mounts and front roll bar links (the rears are the same on all!)

I have had mine for about 2 years now and I'm personally very happy with them.
I find the ride nice and firm, but not too harsh (unless you go over a terrible piece of road - then you know about it!)
Although mine are currently on my P1 and lowered about 100mm (lowest possible setting), but will soon be changed to my P2 and raised about 25mm giving about 25-30mm tyre/arch gap (I would advise not really going lower than this with them)

They may not compare to the likes of KW, but the price doesn't compare either!! (KW's being about £1000!)

Haven't fitted mine yet,but went out in the Judge's,his roads are terrible where he lives,so they should be ok for the London/Essex roads.

If I remember correctly judgeninja even did a how-to on fitting these particular coilovers?

    Found it!

I have just recieved a message from Firebolt (thanks) who says that entering the code "sparen10" at the checkout gives an extra 10 euro discount (just tried it and it's all good!)
Taking the price down to £117.11 +p&p!!! (shipping is 11.99 euro - about £9.62)

(sparen10 gives -10euro off all orders over 100 euro, sparen5 gives -5euro off all orders over 50 euro)

Yep pretty easy to fit if you have spare kit..I bought new tip mounts and drop links to make my life a bit easier if something breaks.

My only advice is find a socket the fits in the top mount housing on the central shaft..
Mine are fitted using an F.O.Tight method. And not torqued, only because I didn't have the socket.
