    vibrating wont go away!!!

Sorry to be a pest again but after replacing wishone bushes, drive, ball joint and shock mounting plus have the car lazer aligned and the wheels balanced there is still a vibration. It is actually a bit more like a shudder and it happens between 1200 and 1700 revs in fourth and fifth gear. Also when I corner left at speed eg. Leaving a roundabout accelerating, it feels like the wheel is shaking as if its loose (its not). Its now starting to drive me mad. The only thing the car needs that im aware of is a rear anti roll bush but surely thats hardly going to affect the front.

My daughters Fiesta has a "shudder" when going around a left hand bend. I think its her CV joint, as the cover had come off and leaked grease all over the place. Its not knocking at the mo though!

    Just a thought
    Thankyou, Goodnight....much love

The exhaust I never thought of so I must look into that although there is no noise during this shuddering. It was the short LH drive I fitted so unless the long one is on its way out or if its a CV maybe the one I bought was already done when I bought it. The car does however need discs and pads but id have thought warped discs would have caused shuddering all the time or under braking, you could be on to something there.

I know this may be a long shot, but i had very similar, i had the front tyres replaced full alignment ect ect, with local tyre dealership but still a shudder, especially up through drivers seat, not to sure if this is similar, i went back about the rears as they will need changing and asked if they could just re-align the rear wheels, have to say the guy was excellent, as he requested i looked at the inside rims of the rear wheels especially one of them which was bent obviously curbed before my time or you know what its like with the roads these days, anyway he managed to get it in some form of alignment with lots of those weights, and it is much improved although i am looking at in the future a set of new S60R rear wheels probably, this was a quick fix for £15.00, not saying your situation will be as simple but you never know?

Turned out both drives were on their way out. Youd wonder what would cause such a thing to happen

Mine did this when my brake disc was warped. I note your other post re: the brake problem, my bet is the two problems are related.

Naw mate the new discs went on after I replaced the second drive. The vibration is gone now. It vibrated like a flat tyre vibration last night turned out to be the unexplained ghost in my brakes!!!
